Operational History: An Imperial-I class Star Destroyer captured by the New Republic, the Emancipator was known as the Imperial ship Accuser. The Emancipator first saw duty for the New Republic when Laryn Kre'fey used it as the command ship in the assault on the Imperial base world Blackmoon. Later, the Emancipator was the lead ship in the force sent to take Ciutric back from Prince-Admiral Krennel. The ship and its fleet barely survived, and Emancipator lived to fight another day. After the rise to power of Emperor Palpatine’s clone on Byss, Wedge Antilles and Lando Calrissian at the first Battle of Calamari piloted the Emancipator. It sustained a great deal of damage, and Lando was finally forced to abandon it. Instead of condemning the ship to a useless death, he rammed a World Devastator with it, after getting the crew off board.

After the Emancipator’s unfortunate capture and death, the remnants of the Empire rebuilt the Emancipator into a class-II star destroyer and gave the helm to a newly commissioned Captain, Lorin Lillywhite. He served in several battles under the Supreme Commander Pellaeon showing no hesitation in battle but also was not reckless. Pellaeon noticed that under extreme circumstances that Captain Lorin Lillywhite showed no emotion or fear and always found a way out of a tough position because of clear headed thinking.

Captain Lillywhite served under Supreme Commander Pellaeon for five years until he learned of the Supreme Commanders wishes to sign a peace treaty with the Rebellion. After several arguments with Pellaeon, Captain Lillywhite resigned from the Commanders fleet. Looking for a place to serve the Empire Captain Lillywhite became aware of the surviving Piett, and his many followers. He soon brought the Emancipator and his men to serve under the Cult of Piett. He has distinguished himself from most other Captain’s by easily handling Pirates, Smugglers, and Rebellion reconnaissance ships. He is noted for his far dealings with his men, and his thoroughness against his enemies.

The Class-II has served the Empire well in all areas and has never shown weakness in battle. The men on her decks are proud to serve on the Emancipator, and continue to hit every hostile ship that comes near there guns. She has an impeccable record for serving loyal to the Empire, better than most Captains. She offers her services to all those who wish to serve the Empire.
