"Sudden Promotion" (mov format)
A incredible moment in Piett history - his promotion to the rank of Admiral.
Notice how Piett is so much smarter than the soon-to-be-late-Admiral Ozzel. When
Vader puts through a call, Piett snaps to attention, while Ozzel takes his time
in a casual and sloppy manner. And see how Admiral Piett remains unphased by the
sudden 'demotion' of Admiral Ozzel - he knows to keep his mind on the job - a
lesson Ozzel now learns the hard way.

"Rebel Escape" (mov format)
This scene from The Empire Strikes Back shows the Rebels narrowly escaping our
hero. Watch the incredible facial expressions of Kenneth Colley in this clip -
just wonderful. Of course, we all know that Piett is not worrying for his own
life - no, he's worried about what Vader is going to have to tell the
Emperor...

"Hold Position" (mov format)
In this scene from Return Of The Jedi, we see the Admiral's tactical talents
being wasted. Under orders from the Emperor, Piett must not engage the Rebel
forces - merely 'keep them from escaping'. Of course, had the Emperor not issued
such a stupid command, Admiral Piett would have easily led his forces to victory
over the Rebels. Sigh...

"Intensify the forward batteries" (avi format)
Piett in action once again. Fully realising the powerful psychological effect it
could have on both the Imperial and Rebel troops if the Executor were
disabled, Piett's orders are not for his own survival, but for the benefit of
all the Imperial forces present.

"The 'Death' of Piett" (mov format)
Without doubt, the most contraversial moment in the Star Wars Trilogy - the
alleged 'death' of Admiral Piett. Was it really a clone of Admiral Piett,
substituted at the last minute, who dies in this sequence? Or is it the real
Piett, who manages an incredible dive into an escape pod as the A-Wing crashes
through the bridge? Even if you're one of the misguided few who refuse to
believe that the Admiral did survive, you've got to admit that this death is a
heck of a way to go!
