PIETT'S
REVENGE Commander Piett sat at his desk in his office. It has been months since his encounter with the smuggler Matthew Varea. He still had memories of the eventful encounter with the smuggler. The Rebel scum had shot him, and now it was his turn for revenge. He found that a friend and accomplice of his, Vic Teran, was coming here. He knew if he could capture him, he could lure Varea to him. The commander got up and went out side of the detention center where squads of stormtroopers were waiting for him to give them their orders. "I want the Rebel scum alive," the Admiral said. "If one of them dies, you die. Is that understood?" "Yes, sir," the troopers replied. "Dismissed," Piett called out and the troopers marched of into the town on Mon Caron. He walked back inside and into his office. A tall man in a mechanical suit was waiting for him. This man was the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. He was here see the capture Captain Varea, at least that is what he believed. Piett stood behind his desk as stood at attention. He knew it was not wise to upset the Dark Lord. He has heard the stories about what happens to those who displease him. "My Lord, I am honored by your presence," Piett said. "May I ask why we have the pleasure of your presence?" "I am here to oversee the capture of the Rebel, Varea," Vader replied. "May I ask why he is so important?" "That is none of your concern Commander," the Dark Lord snapped back at him. "If you do this, there may be a promotion in it for you. The Emperor has a certain 'interest' in the Captain." "Understood sir. Varea should be in are grasp in a matter of time." * * * Vic Teran and Merrell Maciejewski land in docking bay 56 in Mon Caron. The ship was an old beat up Corellian YV-666 Light Freighter. They where there to deliver a cargo of weapons to the Rebel Alliance. Teran would have preferred to go alone, but their contact only trusts two people: Merrell and the Admiral. Unfortunately, the Admiral had a little trouble on the planet last time, so he had Teran come instead. "Well, no sign of stormtroopers," Merrell said looking out the view port. She expected a little bit of company from the local government. They do not tend to trust outsiders that much. "That is a good sign," Teran said and got up from his seat and headed for the loading ramp. "Lets hope we can stay unnoticed," he called back. As the ramp lowered Merrell took her blaster and hooked it on her belt. She had a feeling that there would be trouble ahead. If Piett found out that they where here again, he would definitely have had a squad of stormtroopers waiting for them. They exited the docking bay, and a squad of stormtroopers appeared form around the corner. Merrell and Teran quickly turned and headed the opposite direction. The troopers drew their weapons and pointed it at them. "Halt," one of the troopers called. Teran drew his blaster and shot one of the troopers. One of them fired a stun blast and hit him square in the back. They shot at Merrell, but they missed. She ran into the town square and it was full of people. She tried to blend in with the people in the crowd. By the time the troopers got there, she was lost in the crowd. "Don't worry," the lead trooper said. "We got who the commander wanted." * * * Piett walked into the interrogation room where the prisoner was being held. He walked in to the room and sat down in a chair. The prisoner, Vic Teran, was sitting in a chair with metal restraints on his arms and legs that held him in the chair. Vader followed Piett into the room. Teran saw him and a look of fear appeared on his face. "Captain Teran, I want the name of your contacts on this planet," the Commander demanded. "What are you talking about," Teran replied. "The Rebels, I want the Rebels," Piett demanded. He has been waiting for this moment for a long time. A chance to get a promotion and a way of this desolate planet. "I know nothing of any Rebels," Teran spat out. He did not even know who he is supposed to meet anyway. Only Merrell and the Admiral did. Vader remained silent. "Fine," Piett replied, "lets see how much you do not know." An interrogation droid hovered into the room. * * * The Hylian Runner, an old beat up Corellian YT-1600 Freighter, landed in docking bay 42. The pilot, Admiral Matthew Maciejewski, lowered the ramp and walked down to greet his daughter with a hug. It has been weeks since he saw his daughter. He has been on business on Alderaan. He was warring all black and a black cloak. He had a metal sword at his side and a lightsaber. "I got your message," the Hylian replied. "We need to rescue him. He would have done the same for me." "Yea, well a lot has changed since we were here last time," Merrell said. "Their are more guards and troops. I guess they do not want and incident like last time." They exited the docking bay and headed towards the detention center. "We should wait until dark." As darkness approached they head out to the detention center. By the time they reached it, it was already dark. Some reason, there were no guards. The Admiral felt a strange disturbance in the Force. A dark feeling of fear, hatred, and despair. It was a presence he has not felt in years. "Wait here," he told Merrell. "I have a bad feeling about this." "Are you sure," Merrell asked her father. She was worried. He was the only family she had left. "Don't worry," the Admiral replied and opened the door to the detention center. He walked in and found two guards inside. He used the Force and made them ignore him. He walked past them and approached a locked door. Using the Force he got the codes from the mind of a stormtrooper. He went into the detention center and used a terminal to find Teran's cell. The cell was number 531. He went to the cell and opened the door. "Matt, glad to see you," Teran exclaimed. He was never more glad to see anyone in his life. He got up and followed the Admiral to the outside of the cell block. The Admiral shot the guards with his hand blaster and they ran outside. There Vader waited with Piett beside him. Vader had a red lightsaber ignited. The Admiral took out his lightsaber and ignited his violet blade. "It has been a long time Vader," the Admiral said. The motioned for Teran to run and he did. No one tried to stop him. "It has been a long time, Admiral," Vader replied. "This time you will not escape." Vader charged him and took a slash at the Admiral. He deflected the blow and pushed Vader back. The Admiral took three swipes at Vader; Vader blocked two and he Admiral missed wide with the last. Vader hit the Admiral in the stomach and the Admiral fell down onto his back. Vader took his saber and held it at the Admiral's throat. "You were never as good as me," Vader told the Hylian. The Admiral did a flip and kicked Vader, making his hands go up and him stumbling. The Admiral called the saber to him, ignited it and swiped at the Dark Lord. He missed and Vader swiped at the Admiral's midsection a slashed him. The Admiral doubled over and passed out. Then a sound was heard. Two ships were taking off: The Hylian Runner and the Teran. "Shall I send fighters to stop them, My Lord," Piett asked? "No let them go, I have what I wanted," Vader said. "I shall remember this Commander." |
