"I want to see you in my chamber right now." said Lord Vader.

"Yes, my lord." said Admiral Piett. He sadly began to follow the Dark Lord of the Sith to his meditation chamber. He suddenly thought of his wife Sara and his two sons Lex and John. He hoped his death wouldnt cause his family to hold a grudge against Lord Vader or the Empire. Although the path to Lord Vader's chamber wasn't far for Piett it seemed like a thousand miles. He remembered seeing Admiral Ozzel choking and gasping before his death rattle. After serving Lord Vader's flagship for some time he had figured out his strange power. He used telekinesis to crush his victim's throat, not a pretty sight. He stepped into the chamber with Lord Vader. He stood before him and awaited the inevitable. He felt his throat tighten. He began gasping for air.

"Admiral Piett, what's wrong?" asked Vader.

Piett realized he had imagined the whole choking fit. "You thought i brought you here to kill you, didn't you?"

"Yes, my lord." said Piett, embarrassed.

" Why would I kill the empire's most competent officer? I brought you here to personally congratulate you for your leadership in the Battle of Hoth. You are receiving the Imperial Reward for Excellence. The Emperor will personally give you the medal during the grand ceremony on Coruscant."

The Admiral couldnt speak. He was in shock.

"Congratulations, Admiral. I am very proud of you. Now return to the bridge and continue your excellent leadership skills."

"Thank you Lord Vader," stammered Piett as he stepped out of the chamber. As he walked toward the bridge his ecstasy grew. He couldn't wait to tell his family. They would be so proud.
