NAVAL INTELLIGENCE REPORT Imperial Naval Intelligence Report nr. 7525 To: Grand Admiral Hayden. Filed by: Officer 3rd class, Fighter Fleet, Christian Sørensen.
I have been given the assignment of finding out the circumstances regarding our Grand leaders survivial. I have conducted effective research regarding the battle of Endor and come to a conclusion that I will tell you later. There have been created many theories of our leaders mysterious survival. He himself, keeps it a secret. The first theory is based upon the fact that it might have been a clone, who was killed. This theory has been developed by Imperial agents in an attempt to explain the survival, and to convince the Rebel leaders that our technoly is far superiour to theirs and that resistance is futile. However my investigation has lead me to believe that this theory is false. We do not posses the technology to create fully, living clones but only robots as in the Clone wars. This has been confirmed by multiple Imperial scientists who say they are developing the technology, but there is still a long way to go. The scientists also believe that creating a clone of Grand Admiral Piett would be immensly difficult. Since his superiour intellect and tactical sense is so unique and therefore very difficult to copy. The second theory is a more likely event. It states that our Grand Admiral made to an escape pod, before the Executor crashed in to the Death Star. Logs that were sent from the ship before it crashed, clearly state that some pods had launched. It is possible that the Admiral vould have made in to one, as the pod closest to the bridge is only located a few minutes from there. With a great part of the bridge being fireprove it is likely that the Admiral had a chance to seek cover and avoid the flames, and then make it to the escape pod. This is the theory I belive to be true. The third and last theory states that the Grabd Admiral was beamed of the ship. However as ine the first theory Imperial scientists have disclaimed the theory. They claim that we do not posses the technology for this either, and the base of the theory is probably the same as ine the first. Imperial agents trying to saw fear in to the minds of the Rebellion, and make them think that the Empire posses superiour technology. This theory is also false. Conclusion: With theories 1 and 3 being disclaimed as impossible by Imperial scientists, it would seem that theory number 2 is the right one. However we will probably never find out the true circumstances of the incident unless the Admiral himself tells them. I hope my report has been able to cast some light over the event. Christian Sørensen Christian Sørensen. INI director.
