Concerning the Battle of Endor.
Filed on: March 30th.

This report is written to clear up some unclear circumstances during the Battle of Endor. One of the greatest battles of history, in which both the Emperor and lord Vader. And the presumed death of our great leader Emperor Piett.

The Emperor had planned the final destruction of the Alliance, while he was ordering construction of the second Death Star. He leaked information to the Rebel Bothan spies that revealed a fatal weakness in the Death Star systems and that it was not yet active. This along with the information that the Emperor was to personally oversee the last stages of the construction encouraged the Alliance to bet all they had on destroying this new threat. As the Emperor had forseen they had begun planning their attack. They sent a small Rebel task force to the moon of Endor, on which the death Star’s shieldgenerator was located, to blow it up, while they were deploying most of their fleet to destroy the Death Star.. This was also forseen by the wisdom of the Emperor. And a reception for both parties had been planned.

When the Rebel fleet entered from hyperspace, they began their run on the Death Star, presumming that the generator was blown up by the task force. However as it had been brilliantly planned, the task force had been succesfully ambushed and captured.

Unfortunenatly the Alliance realised the shield was still active and had time to avoid it.

In the meantime, the great Admiral Piett had been stationed at the far side of Endor, so the fleet was out of sight for the Alliance. According to his orders he brilliantly managed to sneak in behind them, and deploy the fleet’s TIE fighters. The Alliance was greatly outnumbered by the large Imperial Star Destroyers. It is clear now that we could have destroyed the Alliance at this point, had it not been for Admiral Piett’s strict orders only to keep them from escaping. Unfortunenatly the Emperor was too selfconfident in his station. The great number of TIEs quickly reduced the number of Rebel starfigthers. Meanwhile at the moon unforseen events were happening. The large garrison that had captured the rebel task force were under attack by a mysterious local tribe. Despite our superious weapons technology they managed to draw the garrison in to the woods, so that th task force could disable the generator in the meantime.

At the Death Star the Emperor gave the order to fire from the station. The fully charged laserbeam was powerfull enough to destroy a Mon Calamari cruiser, and greatly reducing the morale of the Alliance. Or so I believe as they had obviously kept fighting believing they had a chance because they thought the station was not yet operational. They then apparently decided to charge the Destroyers instead.

Using a smart trick the Rebel task force actually managed to enter the generator and blow it up…

This destroyed the shield of the Death Star and made vulnerable for attack. This has been confirmed by survivors of the battle on the moon, who managed to escape the Alliance.

The Rebel forces began their attack on the Death Star and entered through the channels. It is not clear exactly what happened as those TIEs followed them were all killed. Outside the Death Star the Rebels were now concentrating all firepower on the Executor. They managed to destroy the bridge deflector shields, and as Admiral Piett was giving the order to intensify the forward batteries, a Rebel pilot crashed in to the bridge and the Admiral was presumed dead.

Inside the Death Star the Rebel figthers managed to hit the core, blow it up and escape. And thus they greatly cripled the Empire.

I hope this report has been usefull in clearing up some of the events that happened during the battle. It has been immensly difficult to find out some of the things, as most of the imperial survivors were captured by the Alliance, and thus unable for questioning. I have allready begun investigation in to another report., which will be finished after a short time.
