ABDUCTION
OF GENERAL MAE For Your Eyes Only To:Chief of State Mon Mothma As per your request, I have compiled this report on the Abduction of General Mae from Coruscant. On a personal note, I am sorry, I know the General was a good friend of yours and that you are determined to rescue him. You must understand that this report is a what is most likely to have happened and that some parts are subject to change. REMINDER: THIS SECURIDEX IS FOR YOUR EYES ONLY File:2828387494:NRI--Aubduction of General Mae: Begin SecuriDex On a night about 2 months ago, General Arar Mae, Director of New Republic Combined Operations, was abducted from the his Coruscant Headquarters. NRI has compiled this report about what is know, and what believed about the abduction the General. A Sentinel class landing shuttle streaked out of hyperspace and into the Coruscant system, towards the gray-black planet, dotted with trillions of little lights. The shuttle, carring the name Adar Tallon, a New Republic ship, flew past several of our outlying patrol ferrets and light corvettes.It entered the great traffic lanes above the glittering planet and buzzed right past one of our escort frigates, the Independence, without a recognition signal, which should have been the sign that something was wrong. The captain of the frigate just assumed that is was carrying a high ranking official on a special mission, and needed a wide berth.It weaved in and out of the endless bulk freighters and light transports carrying goods to and from Coruscant, as well as several of our Cruisers and Frigates. It was given clearance to land a the NRI Headquarters. The Imperial Officers leading the strike force had obviously learned from our trick, used to clear General Solo's strike team to the moon of Endor prior to the battle of Endor. This points to the conclusion that the commanding officer was present at Endor or studied the Battle of Endor extensively. The Shuttle set down just out side of the Headquarters Building. No guards were sent to inspect the shuttle, since no threat warning had been issued by our fleet. (I recommend that we have tighter security around government buildings.) The Ramp lowered and a single squad of troops, wearing New Republic uniforms, exited the shuttle, and proceeded to enter the building. For obvious reasons, our personnel dis not ask questions at the sight of a squad of our troopers walking down the hall. When they arrived at the war room, where General Mae was planning an operation, they opened the door at told the General that Imperial troops had secretly landed and were going to assassinate him. He did not ask any questoins either, and proceeded to what the soldier called," The proper evacuation methods."While walking down the corridor, the squad met a team of Imperial Storm Commando (obviously, the other troops on board the shuttle.) They faked a fire fight, where in the cross fire, General Mae was hit by a stun blast. More of our troops arrived, having heard balster fire, but were quickly dispatched by the Storm Commandos. They took the unconcious body of General Mae to the shuttle, fighting off any opposition. The Storm Commandos, the fake New Republic squad, and General Mae climbed into the shuttle, which took off without delay, and rocketed out of the atomsphere as quickly as it had come. It blasted into hyperspace before any of our ships could get a hyperspace vector. Two Imperial Storm Commandos died in this attack, one ranking Colonel. This is a puzzel. Since Imperial troops are not autonomous, they rely on their officers to think for them. That means that there must have been a higher ranking officer there.One of or badly injured casualities had said something about one of the storm commandos having an Admirals Insignia on his armor, and another stated that each commando had a "P" in aurebesh on his armor. 2 weeks before, the base of an unknown Imperial officer was raided, and two Imperial-class Star Destroyers ruined, one of which, was the dangerous Shockwave. Because of these reasons, I belive that the strike team was lead by Admiral Angus Piett. I am requesting that this SecuriDex be kept open for further Study.
