TRAGIC EMPIRE
(To the tune of "Tragic Kingdom" by No Doubt)
Written and submitted by Summer Wood

Once was a rebel scum base
That Grand Moff Tarkin sought
But no rebels were caught
And the future of the Empire
Is cloudy and fully distraught
The Death Star guns blast away
To hold the rebels at bay
Darth Vader does flee
Now the Death Star has been destroyed
As the rebels
They shout with glee

We pay homage to an emperor
With evil buried
In his mind
Lightning fingertips
Glowing red gaze from his eyes

The Hoth wind blows as it snows
Snowtroopers fight to get in
The Millenium Falcon stalls
And Luke goes to Dagobah
He's unaware what's
Behind Yoda's walls
Vader sets a trap for the one
Who he will reveal as his son
In Cloud City's halls
And the power of the dark side
Shall conquer Old Republic law

We pay homage to an emperor
With evil buried
In his mind
Lightning fingertips
Glowing red gaze in his eyes
Welcome to the Tragic Empire
Admiral Piett
Has yet to take the throne

Has the Empire lost steam
Or is it just a sad crime
We've taken a beating
One too many times
Hypnotized by saber blades
That glow in the dark
Midgets that disguise themselves
As Ewoks and Jawas
The droid that's protocol
He serves no real purpose
His six million languages
Do not impress us

We pay homage to an emperor
With evil buried
In his mind
Lightning fingertips
Glowing red gaze from his eyes
Ooh...red gaze from his eyes, into the night, red gaze from his eyes
We pay homage to an emperor, with evil buried in his mind, red gaze from his eyes

Welcome to the Tragic Empire
Admiral Piett
Has yet to take the throne

Welcome to the Tragic Empire (x8)
